The app is a global success with users in more than 100 countries. WhosHere is continuing its climb in popularity since its launch in late July 2008. Currently, it is one of the most popular applications in iTunes' Social Networking section and ranked ahead of LinkedIn.

WhosHere user Shareena Bogner made a strong showing in the second round of online casting for MTV's The Real World. Bogner launched a WhosHere-based campaign that generated hundred of votes for and helped her make it through the first round of MTV's online casting contest for the show.
