Popular iPhone Social Networking App Exceeds 100,000 Users and Ships New Version

San Mateo, CA - November 14, 2008 - In just over 100 days, the incredibly popular iPhone Social Networking App, WhosHere^TM surpassed 100,000 users. The app is a global success with users in more than 100 countries. WhosHere is continuing its climb in popularity since its launch in late July 2008. Currently, it is one of the most popular applications in iTunes' Social Networking section and ranked ahead of LinkedIn.

WhosHere 0.99 significantly expanded the My Profile section, and allows users to share four profile pictures and much more information about their interests. The new version debuted on Apple's iTunes App Store on 19 November.

WhosHere user Shareena Bogner made a strong showing in the second round of online casting for MTV's The Real World. Bogner launched a WhosHere-based campaign that generated hundred of votes for and helped her make it through the first round of MTV's online casting contest for the show.

WhosHere is a social proximity application focused on enabling users to meet friends, potential dates or just network through an exceptionally simple interface. Simply answer a few questions about yourself and who you are interested in meeting and WhosHere will show you matches that are near you or anywhere in the world.
